Week 35 2019
The last week of the season
In week 35 we welcome our friends from France and Swiss. They have been with us earlier, so they know the potential of the last week of the season.
The water was good, plenty of fish in the river and good fishermen, everything was set for a good week.
The guests didn't spend long time at the water before they lost the first fish. Zone 1 is really good in august and holds many fish. Not longer after the lost fish Frantz landed a good size fish from upper neck.
They fished hard and they got in contact with more fish the first days, Jacques had a hard time with losing 3 fish in one day, but thats fishing sometimes.
Frantz found the fish at upper neck and landed a grilse as well.
We had some time to fish as well and our lodge manager, Aslak landed this nice sized female fish. Salmon selfie is a difficult game.
Patrcie from France started salmon fishing last year and this year he continued with casting practice and learning about the salmon tactics. He hooked into a good size male fish in the end of the week. He told us; “ I thought the fly was stuck in a stone, but then it jumped”
What a nice way to end his salmon season.
Thank you for a good week and we look forward to welcome you back next year.
Next one to come is the season ending blog!
