Week 34 - Recipe of a good week
Last week we had a return from our good friends from southern Sweden.
And what do you need to have a good week at Kengis?
Friends, good food, some beers, Gin & tonic, good wine, a football fan or two and some Kengis feeling.
And of course a baltic salmon helps with the recipe.
The definition of Kengis feeling is with no doubt what this group represents.
Thank you for coming and thank you for sharing Kengis feeling.
Between all the good fires and coffee flies were swinging in the water and it seems like the fish have been tricky this year. Two fish were lost within the first days and then slow times again. It has not been stable august fishing as we sometimes see it, but with less fish in the river system it is not unusual.
Then out of the blue Björne got his first Kengis salmon. He wanted to take a round and was on his way into the water, but the friends told him to go upstream a bit. We think he was happy that he did that. Four casts later a good fish striked his fly and this time stuck to fly.
Congrats Björne.
More fire, more good food and more smiles later Patrik was not sure if he caught his first Kengis salmon and after looking at the pictures we could conclude that he landed a small grilse and we could put him in the books.
A good week in the spirit of the Kengis feeling.
Thank you for being good friends and understanding “our fish” and the Kengis feeling.
See you next year.
Tight lines
