Week 24 Finally

In week 24 we had a comeback from our Slovakian friends. We have said it before and we will say it again; “It's good to see our friendly smiles back on the lodge”

Last year was difficult in many ways, so the guys were ready for a hard week and they are used to spending hours in the water.

The first days we did not see many fish moving and the days were spent on casting and getting the right timing into the arms.

To have guests like these guys that accept the fishing as it is and just keep the flies wet, have a good time and enjoy the environment. That is Kengis feeling.

The water was dropping fast this week and in the end they started to search for faster water and it paid off.

They started to see fish and hooked a few, but lost them. They got closer and closer.

Between the rounds they had time to eat good food and to look up and enjoy the midnight sun. One of those factors that made you forget about time and place when you are in Kengis.

The fish held up in the faster water and the guys continued losing fish, but FINALLY Peter got in contact with a good fish.

101cm fantastic Baltic salmon. In another difficult year fish like these are highly appreciated.

Great job Peter!!

We are looking forward to seeing our friends again next year! Thank you!

Eyes on next week and conditions are changing. Rising water and more fish passed the counter. Fingers are crossed.

Tight lines!
