Our friend Pete

Sadly our guests in week 33 canceled their trip, so this week's blog will be about our friend Pete.

Pete is one of the locals from the neighboring city in Finland and he is very much into fly fishing. We got to know him a few years back when he started to swing by and say hello during our season and fished the north bank of Kengis Bruk.

Fishing on the north bank can be difficult and as so much other fly fishing for salmon you need to work for your chance, but that is what Pete is doing. After work, direct to the fishing water and spend the evening hours with friends. And it pays off for him. In this difficult 2023 season he has landed two fish so far, and who knows maybe more will be landed by Pete before the season closes.

He is always friendly to other guests on the north bank and willing to help and share Kengis' feelings.

In week 33 he was on the north bank again with his friends and they have had some action over the past weeks. The water went up a bit and when it turned and dropped a setup with floating line, sink 3 tip and long leader with a pico musto fly did the trick and Pete could land his second fish of the season.

Great job Pete!

We are looking at the end of the season and next week we are welcoming our friends from the south of Sweden. They are a guarantee for big smiles and good times and hopefully landed fish to close the season.

All of a sudden the season is almost over and it feels like we just welcomed the first guests. It always surprises us how fast three months are going.

We are really thankful for all our guests booking year after year and to all of you who support us and follow us. Thank you!

Tight lines!
