Savikuoppa & Erkkinskuoppa
Is our incoming pool. The water is running fast and there are some deeper holes where the fish can rest before swimming upstream. In high water the fish tend to choose a side and follow that upstream, and we see them at our side to get some rest from the main current in the far side. It is usually best during the early season, but there is fish holding in Erkkinskuoppa, so give it a go in august fishing.
Really high water can make this zone tricky to fish. You will be standing under the trees and casting, but that is not often that happens. Most of the time you wade close to shore and fish the deeper pockets. When the water level drops, you can wade quite far out and fish closer to the main stream. But remember that you can’t go directly in to shore at the end. Theres is. a deep hole at Erkkinskuoppa.

The sitting tree
Standing outside of the sitting tree is a good striking point, the fly is fishing over some deeper parts where the fish stop for a minute or two and gives us a chance to present our fly to them.
-
The hut
Outside the hut and the fireplace there are some deeper parts and there is the beginning to a little drop. The fish is standing on the edge of that little drop. A classic spot to hook into the fish.
-
The point
A flat stone approximately 1,5 m from shore is the point. Standing on that stone and casting you cover a good sized stone and the fish hold up around that stone. Remember to let the fly fish all the way in and it will fish a part of the deep bay.

Erkkinskuoppa
The end of zone 3 is named after our Local friend Erik. This is the first place the fish stop when they enter our fly fishing water. It's deep and there are some big stones that hold fish in the early season. Fishing starts around. 30m upstream from the fireplace and all the way to the small V. Remember to fish the V, it holds big fish once in a while. Erkkinskuoppa is worth a go in august for those fish that don't go into the rapids. They hold up and spawn here. Remember this area is shared with our boat friends every second day.
