Week 26 - All about Baltic salmon
This week it will be about the Baltic salmon.
Finally we saw better numbers rising in the river and that paid off at Kengis Bruk.
Seven fish landed and more lost. That is a part of the game when you take the challenge to catch a Baltic salmon.
We welcomed back our friends Pyry, Marko, Patrick and Sean. Patrick and Sean are used to fishing this week and they know how to crack the codes, but Pyry and Marko are used to fishing later in the season.
Pyry and Marko adapted to the early season fishing in no time and started to get some action in the faster water.
In a season with difficult fishing and less fish rising in the river, it is really nice to see that we can have good weeks at Kengis Bruk.
In the end we live from rising fish in the mighty Torne river and we put them back in the river to give something back to nature. Just to have a small moment when you can forget about time and place.
Our biggest wish for the future is a stable rise of fish each year and how can that be a reality in the future?
Conditions and rising fish are still looking good, so we cross fingers for the upcoming week!
